The training is set to be conducted for 10 days.

During the opening, Ochieng Philip Clement the Vice president for Torit Local Football Association says they prioritize training for the coaches when they take over the office from the former governing body in 2020 that was under the leadership of former President Juma Joe Adriano.

Philip the trainees will also be awarded certificates that will help them not only in the state but countrywide.

// this was the first priority we put in place, we requested our coaches to be trained, because through them then we can see our youth playing in fair way, I am requesting you the participants to concentrate if you miss this opportunity you will not get any chance, these are the people who are going to be coaches in Eastern Equatoria State,  and I would like to emphasise that the certificate you are going to get will not help you only in Eastern Equatoria but it can take you outside, the most important thing is you concentrate on practical part this is the chance that you can learn how a coach behave.

The head Coach for South Sudan Football Association Mr. James Garang calls on the coaches to help the association in strengthening football in the state.

Garang reveals that the system of training coaches and the administrators will be modified in the next training for proper budgeting for the trainers.

// you help Etihad in terms of making football, so in football there are three areas, the first are coaches, you are a teacher you teach children in a good way, the second one are referees, if there is no on officiating the game then there will be no game, in our plan We plan to have the training in three areas, coaches, referees and administration, if this things are not moving together then the football will not be good, I want to tell you are the last people to do the training for free, but in case of any future training the forms will be send to you fill, because some time they are always given like 45,000 USD, like now when we come here we spend like 4,200 USD, like in ten football associations in it takes like 240,000 SSP.

He encourages the female coaches to concentrate on learning and put the knowledge into practice rather than staying home with the certificate.

The official says there are many South Sudan female teams to be formed that will give a chance of becoming coaches.

“To female coaches, if they are no women teams then just join men teams to and learn from those coaches they will tell you what to do, don’t take the certificate and stay with it home, because we have women teams coming you yourselves you will be the coaches for this teams, is a chance for you, don’t take it like something small we want to make south Sudan be like England or Spain, teams like Barcelona, Liverpool, Manchester those are just areas but teams like Chelsea are from the city London, we really want to make our football like that of England, you just put interest in what you are doing and do it right.

The speakers made their comments during the opening of the ten days training of the coaches in Torit on Wednesday.
