Governor urges MPs to improve services delivery and prepare citizens to vote

Central Equatoria Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony urges Members of the State Legislative Assembly to rebuild hope and confidence improve on delivery of services and prepare citizens for the fourth coming elections.

He while opening Central Equatoria State Assembly on Tuesday in Juba, told MPs to work together as a team and minimize party related differences to avoid negative impact on citizens.

“I would want to emphasize to all the parties that your mandate shall be to collectively implement the Revitalized Peace Agreement, to rebuild hope and confidence, reconcile our citizens to live in harmony, improve on delivery of services and prepare our citizens for the forth coming elections at the end of the interim period, therefore I urge the honorable members to embrace the spirit of working together as a team, minimize party related differences to avoid negative impact on our people”, Adil pleaded.

Adil expressed optimism that the new members of the assembly will diligently contribute to help improve on the cost of action to push the state forward.

He congratulated the president, first vice president and the vice presidents for the hard work they are doing to advance the cost of peace in the country.

Central Equatoria Legislative Assembly Speaker Peter Wani Logore vowed the lawmakers will safeguard the interest of the people experience untold suffering.

Speaker Wani assures the people of Central Equatoria State that the August House will be based on good governance and multiparty democracy.

He calls on MPs to work together for sustainable country which will open a way for the South Sudanese who are in camps to return back home.

Justice Duoth Kulang Bichoa presided over the swearing of Assembly Members and state cabinet witnessed the event on Tuesday at Jubek Memorial Centre in Juba.
