Court calls for witnesses to prove evidence on Bishop-elect’s case

South Sudan High Court calls for witnesses to proof the evidence of the case of Bishop-elect of Catholic Diocese of Rumbek Monsignor Christian Carlassare as hearings proceed.

On Tuesday, the court resumes when a video clip of Monsignor Carlassare was played to the court attendance and the defend lawyer of the six accused to prove.

The Video clips displayed shows Monsignor Carlassare narrating what happened to him in the night of April 24, 2021 and was considered as prosecutor’s document No.4 AB from the accused case file.

Apostolic Nuncio to South Sudan, Archbishop Hubertus Matheus Maria van Megen, was among the attendance of the Tuesday court hearing.

Court hearing will resume on Wednesday 9th February 2021 at 10;30 AM while witnesses will be brought in to prove some evidence provided before the court.

The court is still under “hearing of statements of the accused and provision of evidence from the investigator to the presiding judge Justice Alexander Sebur Subek.
