The security organs in Yei River County of central Equatoria state on Friday started searching for small whisky alcoholic drinks.
Last year commissioner Aggrey Cyrus Kanyikwa issued an order banning sales of harming whisky drinks like London number one and club five which is trade marked “For export to South Sudan only”, Radio Easter reported.
The search is a call by communities due to the increase in crime rates in the county.
Cyrus stressed that it is the duty of the government to protect citizens from any harm.
However, the search raised a lot of questions from the public on where about on the importation matrix.
The business group had witnessed severe losses from the hunt down.
Some citizens anonymously blame consumption of such alcoholic drinks on the mislead in handling law.
Security organs in Yei where approached for comments, but declined until full operation is done. Radio Easter tried best to approach the commissioner’s office and security units but they also declined.
