105 prisoners who were jailed over unclear allegations without legal document from the top judge were freed as new judge took over the office in Tonj South County of Warrap State.

Don Bosco Radio reported that 105 out of 253 inmates including women were released on Tuesday.

Tonj South County Deputy Prison Service Director, Major General Ring Awiic, says the outlet prisoners were those with simple offences convicted by chiefs without clear evidences.

Major General Awiic urges chiefs to be just in their courts and be abide by the law when passing judgment on people.

He advised the community at large to stop committing crimes that imprisons a person because the security personnel do not arrest a person who has not done something wrong.

This is not the first time for Tonj South County government to release prisoners who were kept for long time. Don Bosco radio was unable to interview with new judge because of many duties he was handling at the time on Wednesday
