The government of Warrap State on Monday condemned the attack carried out on its territory by the suspected armed men from Unity State.
According to the press statement recorded in a phone-ins interview with Good News Radio from Warrap state, read by the Minister of Information Ring Deng, “the attack took place on Saturday at 5 PM local time at Makuei-Lorweng village. The attackers killed five-year old boy, injured an adult and raided over 200 heads of cattle from Gogrial East”.
Minister Deng said Warrap State government is very disappointed about the attack and called on Unity State authorities to help trace the culprits.
Unity State Information Minister Gabriel Makuei Hon said he is not in the state and also not aware of the attack.
The report said in the midst of last month suspected gunmen from the same area killed three fishermen in Gogrial East.
