The Catholic Bishop of Yei is encouraging believers to stick to their religious responsibilities amidst political, economic and social challenges.

Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe advises believers to be prayerful and not allow to be destructed by other duties.

“Be faithful to our religious responsibilities by coming for prayers that is one of the most important religious duties which we cannot leave out and we can allow ourselves to be destructed by other things”, he says.

Bishop Lodu advises that no one should bar an individual from religious responsibility towards God.

He asks that the economic difficulties in the country should not demoralise people from fully taking their responsibilities, but be patient and brave amidst difficulties.

“Anybody who is not God cannot take over your responsibility towards God even if they say what. We are aware of the economic difficulties may be that little had been consumed in one way or the other and at the end we face the economic situation as it is in our country and in our families just be patient, do not be afraid and do what you can whatever it may be difficult and yet we have to move ahead amidst difficulties”, he enlightens.

Let us not be afraid, the lord will always support us within our good will in the little effort we want to do in the good will that we have”, the Bishop added.

The religious leader spoke during the eve of New Year in Christ the King Cathedral on Sunday in Yei.
