Citizens expect peaceful celebration of New Year in Yei

Citizens of Yei River County expect peaceful celebration of the New Year to create an enabling environment so that each and every individual within can perform his or her plans for better living.

Mundele Henry mentions that people lost hope, got frustrated and stressed during the conflicts.

“We are expecting peace to create an enabling environment so that each and every individual within can be able to perform his or her plans to achieve the best out of it for better living if you look into generally out of it because of the conflicts the people have lost hope, frustrated and stressed out of it so with this reason they are really looking for peace so that they really do things in sustainable way”, he notes.

Emma Banja, Chief of Jigomoni One Residential Area calls for peace as the first priority in order for citizens to get food and look for school fees of their children.

He urges youth to work hard as they struggle to raise school fees without any challenges hindering them.

“We need peace as the first priority so that we work hard to get food in order to pay children at school but those living in the streets and stealing people are the ones they hate most, they want hard working people in order to help the payment of the children school fees with good behaviours and they don’t want Youths to be killed on roads like chicken without un necessary movement every youth whenever they get a good place for staying let them enjoy there”, Banja stressed.
