A 29-year-old youth is reported to have committed suicide in Inkas residential area in Torit of Eastern Equatoria State.

According to a medical doctor from Torit State Hospital, Dr. Young Bosco, the deceased hanged himself using a rope.

“We received the body at 10 AM in the morning when I examined he had extra mark, a string around his neck meaning he took away his life and when I took my history from the parents particular the sister, she told me he came at twelve midnight he shouted, he wanted to beat people in the house then everybody went to his or her hidings then suddenly he locked himself in the place which was not seen by anybody else so the elder says they heard only the loud one cry when they came to check out they got him hanging with a string on his neck and he was already confirmed dead from the scene. He is twenty-nine years old”, the doctor explained.

The deceased was under alcohol influence, according to the family.

The medical doctor, Bosco, calls on the entire population to be strong when experiencing trauma cases.

“This is the sad news and sad stories for a young person like him just to go on like that. Sometimes we have issues but we need to settle our issues by ourselves. According to the history that I took he drinks and he was under the influence of alcohol, the community needs him , the family needs him more and he is no more he has left the gap that is going to be difficult to be fill by the other family members, my sole advice to everybody listening to me be resilient in conditions that are harsh we know there are situations that can provoke you and some time that can agitate you to take your own life but that is not the way we live in the world where there are a lot issues, where there a lot of confusion you know the youths particularly they need to refrain”, he laments.

The speaker made the remarks to Radio Emmanuel on Tuesday in Torit, Eastern Equatoria State.
