The director of civil military relations in Yei River County of Central Equatoria State calls on the army to respect the civil population during the festivity.
Speaking to Radio Easter in an interview, Michael Machar says it is the responsibility of the organized forces to provide security to people and their property.
He encourages people to feel at home and cooperate with the military personnel.
He adds that security forces will be deployed along the high ways to provide security.
“We urge the civil population to feel at home because the army will be outside there for their protection and respect must be there. We advise all the organized forces to respect the movement of the civil population as well as the civilians doing the same to the military because the army is there to provide security to the civil population. The eve of the Christmas is the day that our savior Jesus Christ was born and everyone has to celebrate it peacefully, “advised the civil military relation director.
The civil military relation director urges the organized forces to be on alert at any time to dispatch their duties.
“I urge all the security forces to be on maximum alert, respect themselves and the civil population. Anybody found doing things that are against the security will be held responsible. We have to respect it.it is our mandate to ensure maximum safety and protection of the civilians with their properties. We are here for entire civil population of Yei and beyond. Therefore respect must be concert, “reminds Machar.
