A priest in the Catholic Diocese of Torit has encouraged Christians to be compassionate with one another during Advent period.
Fr. Ejidio Okanyi says human beings should be concerned about the wellbeing of one another.
He encourages everybody to share during this Advent season.
“Advent is only realised when we make others also joyful. If we want to prepare for Advent, we should be kindly enough, we should understand people, we should be sharing people, we should love people, and we should be compassionate people in our society”.
Fr. Okanyi mentions that Christians should build their relationship with one another for the love of God.
He adds that Christians are people who have sense of justice and fairness to one another.
“Our relationship with God makes us to be kind with one another. We become the people who care for others, for others need as much as our needs are there but we are also concerned with the needs of our brothers we become obviously loving people to one another and build more relationship and extend our variation looking at it and also our relation to one another, we become people who are compassionate not guided by the spirit of revenge and of not forgiving one another and we become even people who have sense of justice, fairness to one another. If you have two cloths, you share, if you have food you share with your brother. We need to be concerned with one another nobody is so poor that he cannot share”, said the priest.
The Catholic Priest made his remarks to the faithful at St. Peter and Paul Cathedral Parish in Torit.
