Yei River County of central equatorial state Health science Institute graduates twenty-one students in nursing department and midwifery Easter Radio Reported

Speaking during the graduation ceremony, the principal of Yei health science institute, koul Agok Wac mentions that, YHSI is the former Yei national health training institute

Agok states that the Health Science Institute has been an historical institute which was established during the liberation struggle in chukudum since 1995.

He says the institute was established by the new Sudan secretariat known as the ministry of health with support from Noregian ministry of foreign Affairs

He expresses the success of the institute through the understanding of community to change the name chukudum to Yei medical training school.

Agok stresses the institute was renamed as Yei health science institute during the service of former minister of health, Dickterec Gai in 2016.

The principal adds that since the establishment of the institute, it has graduated thousands of health students in various sectors for over twenty-five years

Meanwhile Commissioner of Yei river county, Agrey Cyrus Kanyikwa urges the graduates not forget the institute because it was built out of the blood of heroes and heroines who sacrificed their lives

Director General of training and professional development, Rev Janet Michael urges the graduates to take the profession as a vacation of service not for making money.

She says it is a profession that brings people to serve with humanity and the graduates should serve humanity with humility.

Janet appeals to the graduates to take care of the patients as they care for themselves.
