Over 20 Students of Catholic University participate on media influence in Decision making process and amplifying women voices

Catholic Radio Network or CRN trains over 20 Catholic University students on Media influence in Decision making process and amplifying women voices.

CRN and its partners organized a three day workshop on media use to amplify women voices and influence in decision making process.

The training which is part of the organization’s capacity building outreach aims at enhancing youth with knowledge on media role in decision making shall take 3 days.

It brought in 22 participants mostly students of the Catholic University, faculty of Peace and Justice and some lecturers.

CRN Director, Mary Ajith says, the training was inspired by a picnic that was held in Rajaf as a promise to enhance catholic university peace and justice students students.

“The training is meant to encourage youth to be able to air out issues that they want to be known.” She added.

“All of you here as peace and justice students have issues that you want to air out but, you may not know how to channel it, you as peace and student ,you can actually come out to write article when the media is amplifying .

Participants Samuel Akol and Theresa applaud the organizers and promised to teach other youth with the knowledge attained from the workshop.

They calls for more training to bridge the gap in the Media misperception.

“This workshop is very important to us especially as peace and justice student will learn how to approach the public, I will extend this knowledge to empower some of my brothers and sisters and teach them the importance of media in our country.”

The training is duly to end on Wednesday 8th.
