A deacon in the Catholic Diocese of Torit asks believers to repent and keep their hearts pure.

Thomas Morris Solomon told Christians to pray and love one another as they commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.

“I want you to love yourselves, do we love ourselves, and do we pray for one another as we are preparing for the Christmas? We need to come and repent to God, today. God is telling us to come the saviour is going to be born let him come and find our hearts pure”.

Morris calls on believers to be happy and rejoice for the coming of Jesus Christ.

“You come to the church every Sunday so that you take the word of God and put it into practice but if you come here, you come empty and you go empty meaning your Christianity is meaningless. We need to go with something that is why we are today also preparing, let us be happy, rejoice the Saviour is going to be born”, said Morris.

The Deacon was giving his homily at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Parish in Torit.
