The National Revenue Authority or NRA Domestic Tax Division has launched an
electronic digitalized tax compliance certificate.
Commissioner for Domestic Tax, Albino Chol Thiik, tells the media in Juba that the
digitalized tax compliance certificate will close all leakages in the tax collection
system, Radio Bakhita reported.
He reveals that tax payers will have to register, get verified in order to be on the tax
compliance on the NRA online portal.
Domestic Tax Deputy Commissioner, Ajang Ajang Albino, reveals that the
application has so far registered 13, 000 tax payers as of Friday last week.
Ajang notes that individuals who do not register online can still register manually at
the National Revenue Authority offices.
He says if the system is implemented well and used by most tax payers, it benefits
both tax authorities and payers.
For tax authorities, electronic filing lightens the workload and reduces operational
costs such as the costs of processing, storing and handling tax returns.
