The Inspector General of Police has confirmed the arrest of the chairperson and vice of Boda Boda association in Yei River County of Central Equatoria State, South Sudan.
Last week, Director of Road Traffic, Colonel Ruben Manyok confirmed to Radio Easter that the Boda-Boda riders went on strike because the road traffic department was over charging them.
Speaking today in his office, Police Inspector General Sabino Tobo explains that the two people were arrested following their letter addressed to the commissioner of Yei River County.
He says the chairperson and the vice of Boda Boda association have later been released, but warned not to address their issues to the commissioner.
Meanwhile, Chairperson of Yei Boda-boda Association, Emmanuel Duku, calls on motorbike users to obtain all the required documents to avoid fine.
