Information Committee Designate Chairperson of the Legislative Assembly cautioned journalists against creating information for personal interest about the parliament to disturb public opinion.
Paul Yoane Bonju told journalists in Juba over the weekend that journalists should refer to authentic sources in the parliament, Radio Bakhita reported.
MP Yoane warned the media practitioners against focusing on MPs’ emolument payment avoid provoking the public to go against their representatives.
He threatened that media working on MPs emoluments, its licence will be withdrawn.
Information Committee Designate Chairperson revealed that Assembly will start this week to consider the speech of the president to amend it followed by tabling of New Conduct of Business Regulation and the 2021/2022 Budget Bill.
The official made the remarks during a press conference over the weekend in Juba.
