Abyei Administrative Area first youth convention ended successfully with fair and free elections, reveals Gola Boyoi Gola Chairperson of South Sudan National Youth Union.
He notes that the Convention was the second youth conference in the history of South Sudan which first deliberated on youth challenges and approved of the Union constitution and elections.
Gola say the exercise was comprehensive with the observation of the government and non-government institutions, resulting to free and fair elections.
He adds that, the national body is looking forwards for youth conventions and democratic elections for the chairman of the other nine states and two administrative areas.
Chol Lual became Abyei Youth Union new chairman after obtaining 88 out of 105 votes.
