The Minister of Peace Building in Eastern Equatoria State has reiterated call for South Sudanese to leave the spirit of violence and cattle related issues, for peace to prevail.
Marko Lokidor Lochapio stresses that peace is the only key to life and development.
“People to refrain from violence, cattle raiding and cattle wrestling, even attacking or stopping, and looting vehicles along the highway should stop. We should open a new page for peace in Eastern Equatoria. Peace is the only key to our lives. Without peace, we cannot go on development, we cannot progress, without peace we cannot have the change, without peace our people, our community will not prosper economically and socially,” the minister stressed .
He calls on the entire community of South Sudan to embrace the heart of tolerance and resolve their differences in a peaceful way.
“I want all our people to embrace the culture of peace, the culture of tolerance and the culture of unity, we must come together. Our differences we solve, we address it in a peaceful manner and that can make us at least to be the people of peace and let each and everyone be responsible to take peace as the prime way for our life and once we realize there is peace, even that level of that poverty will not be there, the opportunity will open for our people”.
Lokidor made the statement to Radio Emmanuel in an exclusive from his office in Torit.
