Seriously follow the case of the recent killing of two Sisters of Scared Heart along Juba-Nimule highway and make sure the murderers are brought to book, Archbishop of Juba, Stephen Ameyu Martin Mula urges the government.

He asks the government to apprehend murderers of Sister Mary Daniel Abbud and Sister Regina Robba and another lay person.

We hope that if they are robbers, they must be apprehended and I would invite the government to take the matter serious because who can be safe now?” he adds.

The Metropolitan Archbishop of Juba told CRN that the government needs to rein redeploy new security forces along the road.

Archbishop Ameyu strongly condemns the incident and says killing the women of God is a devil reduction and regret losing the few sisters in the Archdiocese.

“We are losing the just few sisters in the Archdiocese”, he regrets.

The two sisters and other two faithful were shot on Monday while returning to Juba from Loa, Magwi County after celebrating Centenary of faith at Our Lady of Assumption of the Catholic Diocese of Torit.

In another news development, one motorist was knocked dead by an over speeding lorry, escaping the same ambush along Nimule-Juba high way.

Funeral of the two Reverend Sisters is taking place at Sacred Heart Sisters’ Kindergarten in Juba.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Juba announced four days for mourning for the two sisters starting on Tuesday until Friday.

Requiem mass is scheduled to take place at St Theresa’s Cathedral Kator on Friday, 20, August 2021, followed by burial at All Saints Parish, Rejaf cemetery.
