Priest in the Catholic Diocese of Torit is calling on the faithful to change and interact freely without boundaries.
Fr. Martin Vuni says every human being is a child of God regardless of colour, language and communities.
Everyday as Christians we say our father, whether you are white, whether you are black, whether you are Latuko, you are Acholi, you are Didinga, Toposa, Buya, you are Madi, you are Peri, we all say our father, we all belong to the same father, by that fact we now become children of one family, we are brothers and sisters, that lays the foundation of what we call the social transformation, we need to transform, move away from the traditional system where we are limited to only our blood relation to these other open society where we engage with everybody, we transcend our boundaries
He advises everbody to depend on one another.
Our needs for inter-dependence are in twin seek, we all depend on each other’s as human beings, as humans we all have relatives and friends, for without these other people we cannot exist, therefore we are called social beings, we can only be safe and develop if we have interaction with others, because alone we cannot exist or develop, this is our social reality
Fr Vuni made his remarks to Radio Emmanuel on Saturday while giving the historical background of the Catholic Diocese of Torit ahead of the centenary launching on Tuesday 29th June 2021.
