Education stakeholders are calling on all school administrators to adhere to the coronavirus principles to avoid re-closure of learning institutions in the country.
The call came after the statement of the national minister of education threatening to shutdown schools which are not following the covid-19 protocols, Radio Easter reported.
Head teacher of Yei Day Secondary School Bingo Bokilo Francis encourages his fellow head masters from other schools to practice the precautionary measures to avoid re-closing of their institutions.
He says it will not sound well if a school is shut down because of not following the preventive measures of covid-19.
Emmanuel Mambo Martin, student of Yei Day Secondary School says they as students are following the guidelines.
He expresses gratitude to the government of South Sudan for re-opening the schools to ensure students return to learning.
Scovia Nancy Moses, another Yei Day student, comments that many students in the school follows the protocols, but regrets that some few do not adhere to prevention measures.
She says washing hands, social distance and wearing face mask is mandatory to some learners who care about their lives.
Nancy appreciates the Ministry of Health and the government of South Sudan for ensuring that children return to school.
Yei River County Education Director, Emmanuel Sebit Peter, believes that covid-19 is real and cites that when schools were re-opened, a lot of emphases were put on how schools could follow the guidelines.
He regrets that schools are not adhering to the preventive measures.
