South Sudan HIV/AIDS Commission is training thirty people on community awareness and sensitisation to counter misconception related to HIV/AIDS and TB transmission in Torit-Eastern Equatoria State.
Eastern Equatoria State HIV/AIDs Commissioner, Peter Lokale Nakimangole, says the objective is to provide and increase knowledge on HIV transmission, Radio Emmanuel reported.
He adds that another reason is to promote behaviour change and create demand for information on HIV and TB available services.
Lokale urges the participants to take the knowledge correctly for the benefit of society.
HIV Prevention Director at South Sudan HIV/AIDs Commission Gabriel Atilio says, HIV/AIDs they plan to launch its operation at grassroots level across all states.
He adds that their intentions are also to giver course of trainers to extend awareness beyond to rural areas.
