Police arrests 4 suspected thieves for stealing Bishop’s House in Wau

Police authorities in Western Bahr El Ghazal State have arrested at least four people for allegedly robbing the House of the Catholic Bishop of Wau Diocese, Matthew Remijo Adam.

Police Commissioner, Samuel Ajuong Cuar, says the most important thing to take after any criminal activity is investigation and arrest.

He warns that in search of justice, there is nothing like forgiveness as usually practiced by the Church.

He promises to take the suspects to court for justice to prevail.

Cabinet Affairs Minister, Arkangelo Anyar Anyar emphasizes on the state government’s commitment to combat criminal activities in the area.

The Parish Priest of St. Mary Help of Christian, Fr. Dominic Luka appreciates the efforts made by the state government and the security organs for the steps taken.

He adds that it is up to the state government to proceed with all the necessary legal procedures against the suspects.

On the 9th, May 2021, thieves robbed the house of Bishop Matthew Remijo Adam and stole valuable items, including computer, South Sudanese Pounds and USD.

It is reported that the police have recovered some of the items like 2 computers, one phone, thoreya and about 15 thousand US Dollars.
