Activist and a former government official of the defunct Amadi State is urging for the fulfillment of the 35 percent women representation to be encompassed at the coming council of states.
Hanna Lorna Bona said the number of women politicians in the national government, parliament, state and local governments is not realized, radio Bakhita reported.
She wonders why women are not respected in all procedures of peace building in the country.
Lorna urges that women must have a chance to be decision makers for effective and visible participation.
She says women representatives must have competent capacity at all levels of the government.
The activist talked to Radio Bakhita during a Public Opinion Poll Survey Report conference over the weekend.
The conference was to evaluate the implementation of Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan.
