Shafie Gordon Ali Butela on Monday in Wau launched his campaign for the presidential post of South Sudan Football Association under the theme: “Sports for all”.
The head of campaign team, Samuel Mabior said the motive behind campaigning in Wau is because Wau is the capital city of culture and sports, Voice of Hope Radio reported.
Mabior mentions that developing sports infrastructure and creation of new associations is their key priority.
The campaign manager notes that they will focus on developing youth and women football besides introducing new technology into the game.
Sheifi Gordon Ali is a South Sudanese from Maridi of Western Equatoria State; he is the founder of Mustagbal Football Club of Abyei and currently the Deputy Chairperson of Gudele Football Club of Juba since 2018.
Electoral committee of South Sudan Football Association is set to conduct elections for president, Vice President, members of board of directors and independent committees in July.
On 14th May, the electoral committee of SSFA announces the beginning of applying for presidential candidates in the upcoming elections.
