Some state governors in South Sudan have rejected a call by the national government to have a joined collection of state revenues.
Central Equatoria State Governor, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, while attending a conference on increased collaboration of revenue collections, says there is no way the collections of revenues can be shared equally.

Adil like some governors, refused to recommend for the equal distribution of the non-oil revenue.

In response to that, President Salva Kiir Mayardit advises the state and the national revenue bodies to avoid competition in collecting taxes.
