Food and Agriculture Organization or FAO in collaboration with the Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries, has assured people of its efforts to improve milk and meat production in the country.
FAO Country Representative, Meshack Malo, says the rate of milk production in South Sudan is very little as compared to the huge number of animals in the nation.
He adds that the organization and the ministry are now focusing on improving the animals’ breed, through cross breeding and artificial insemination.
Meshack Malo encourages South Sudanese to make good use of their animals because their products are good for both consumption and income.
