The love of neighbour is a sign of unity among all believers, says Fr Jacob Odwa, Acting Parish Priest of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Kapoeta of the Catholic Diocese of Torit.
He on Sunday while giving his reflection through a telephone call on Radio Emmanuel encourages Christians to embrace the peace and love of God and that he who loves work for the common good of all.
“All of us excluding non are to live in love, if we love one another, we shall be doing good to one another we shall work for the unity of ourselves and for our people, we shall work for the common good and for the common interest of all, we shall be able to listen to one another to bear fruit is to love one another the love of God is total. We are to love God with all our mine with all our hearts with all our soul love of neighbour is loving ourselves and loving our neighbour”, explained Fr. Odwa.
“As believers we must love God with all our minds, hearts and souls”, he adds.
Fr. Jacob Odwa advises the faithful to have hearts of self-giving sacrifices among their brothers and sisters.
“We find joy, we find peace, we find self-giving for one another in love in what is good of others what is acceptable of others, we are reminded that if we want to get love, if we want to get good that is reflected in the service, we give to one another the ultimate love of God, his love is for the salvation of the world, so we are also if we are to give the ultimate of ourselves that also means we have to give the best of our selves for the service of our brothers and sisters”, he notes.
The priest urges believers to have the spirit of love among them.
