Armed men abduct nine people along Juba-Terekeka road

Authorities in Terekeka allegedly reported that armed men have abducted about nine people while on their way to their county on Tuesday.

Chairman of Impact Response Committee, Philip Ladu Jembeke discloses that the abductors demanded five million South Sudanese Pounds to be paid for each person captured.

Lodu who spoke to the kidnappers on phone says they speak fluent Arabic and accent their does not show that they are cattle keepers.

He adds that Mundari cannot intend to cause harm to their own people.

He further explains that such events are happening for the first time in Terekeka County.

This is the second time Central Equatoria reported cases of abduction in the state in one week with the first from Yei and then Terekeka Counties.
