A civil society activist has strongly condemned the National Ministry of Finance following reports that they have mishandled the five percent oil revenues meant for oil producing states and communities to non beneficiaries.
Wodcan Savio Lazarus, executive director for Support Peace Initiative Development Organization or SPIDO describes the act as lack of accountability and transparency.
He urges the council of states to investigate and bring the mentioned individuals in the Audit report and their entities to book.
Savio further explains that it is unfortunate that such recurring corruption cases go unpunished even after being brought to light.
This week the National Audit Chamber released a report displaying a list of government officials, international organizations and companies receiving part of the five percent of the oil revenue individuals into their accounts.
