The Deputy Governor of Eastern Equatoria State Mary Nadio Alfonse Lodira is encouraging women to get involve in peace building.
She urges women to stand up and work together and reconcile all conflicting communities in the state.
The deputy governor assures citizen of her priority to ensure schools are reopened because education is key to success.
“I want women to take a lead role in reconciliation among the communities so I say women don’t be afraid to stand up and say something is wrong and it must be fixed. We are also coming as a team I particularly want us to join hands in order to see the issues of schools we sit together and prioritize education without education we are actually killing the generation.”
She tells the public to start preparing for general election and embrace peace in the state.
“Am here to join hands with Governor Louis Lobong and other stake holders who sign peace agreement to implement peace, the second to it; am also here to reconcile the people of Eastern Equatoria (state) so if there is going to be election or not am here to organize our people so that we actually get prepared for election this cannot happen election will not happen if we don’t have peace”
