An activist working for Community Empowerment for Progress Organization in Western Bahr el Ghazal state condemned the act of National Minister of humanitarian affairs and disasters management during the Juba and Aweil match in Aweil.
Last Saturday, Minister Peter Mayen stormed the pitch demanding his wife to leave the game and go home.
During the misunderstanding, gunshot was heard that led to stopping the football match early.
CEPO’s regional coordinator, Stephen Robo Musa strongly condemned the act by the national minister.
He adds minister Mayen took law into his hands to stop the sport activities which is violation of the constitution.
The activist calls for a disciplinary action against the minister for interrupting the football match.
The regional coordinator urges men to appreciate and encourage their wives, sisters and daughters to pursue their career and support them.
