What I would only want to add is that, unity and cooperation will produce happiness, if we are united in our common goal, if we are united in our vision and if we are united in building this country, then we will realize the happiness that will come along with it’, he advised.
Another citizen, Namwang Stephen Carlo, appealed to the entire communities to stop misunderstandings and killings of one another.
The citizen urged all fellow inhabitants to imitate on liberators of South Sudan to have a common interest.
‘I want to appeal to everybody that it has to be the sign of peace that we need to stop issue of causing havocs here and there, killing the innocent ones this is not time for it, this time we want to celebrate by saying that we need people who can take arms on genuine reasons like our heroes and heroin, not on this minor reasons. We need a reason that is very concrete, we need a reason that is very common to our people of South Sudan’ Stephen said.
‘It is very important day for the youth, but youth should it from here that whenever you are struggling you must to struggle for common good for the people, struggle for something that can help the group not the individual, struggle not for your own interest struggle for your brothers, struggle for your sisters, struggle for your own nation this is what you have to do like our heroes and our heroines did’, the citizen added.
Meanwhile Betty Ihure Fermo urged people to live in freedom and advises youth to desist from wrong doings.
‘Let us live in our nation with freedom, please my brothers, my young brothers change your behaviours on bad things that you have been doing and remember that your grandfathers died because of you. We want you to bring peace to this nation, you have to be peaceful than you kill your brothers, your mothers and your fathers on road ambushes. You don’t have respect for your people, you have to refrain from such things of devils that had entered into your hearts in wrong way, but remember devil can direct you into a wrong way that you cannot get the freedom of this country and you cannot also build this nation peacefully’, she cautioned.
The speakers made the remarks to Radio Emmanuel on Thursday during the 15th anniversary of Martyrs’ Day in Torit.
