Women call for end to violence in South Sudan

Coordinator of the Women’s Monthly Forum on Peace and Political Processes in South Sudan Betty Sunday called on the government to find ways to end the current violence in the country.
 
She told the press on Tuesday that they are saddened by the increase in fighting across South Sudan, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
Sunday said women and children suffer the most when such incidences occur.
 
Women rights activist urged the government to speed up implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement.
 
She called on the government to involve women in decision making in the country.
 
According to Women Monthly Forum the appointment of only one female governor in the revitalized government is a violation of the 2018 peace agreement.
