Executive Director of Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO, Edmund Yakani called upon the signatories to the Revitalized Peace Agreement to urgently reconstitute the transitional parliament.
Bakhita Radio quoted him saying delays in forming the parliament has slowed down implementation of the peace agreement.
Yakani also reminded the peace partners to respective the 35 percent -affirmative action, which calls for women representation in the peace process.
The activist also called on the parties to take speed up speed the peace process and end the suffering of the people.
Parties to the 2018 peace deal on Sunday missed a deadline to dissolve and reconstitute the parliament.
Intergovernmental Authority on Development or IGAD on July 14 called on President Salva Kiir to dissolve the current National Legislative Assembly by July 26.
