The national ministry of gender child and social welfare with partners are training women on leadership skills and participation on peace and security agenda.

Gender Minister Aya Benjamin Warile said the training was to support young women’s advocacy efforts after failure of proper representation of women leaders in the revitalized government of national unity.

Aya said the training will create a platform for women to network, share information and engage key decision makers at the national level.

She urged the participants to use the platform effectively in order to be able to compete for key leadership positions in the country.

The minister was speaking during the opening session of training workshop on Monday in Juba for women on leadership skills and participation on peace and security agenda.
