The Catholic Women Association in Diocese of Yei on Saturday distributed cooking utensils, sleeping mats, buckets, bathing soaps and towels to ten chapels and three Small Christian Community Centers in Yei.
Association Chairlady Rosemary Modong revealed that the items were donated to them by an organization and they are distributing it to the remaining chapels of the diocese.
Vicar General of Yei Catholic Diocese Zachariah Angutuwa Sebit appreciated the women for their association and praised females for their innovation.
He added that the diocese of Yei of people first as the resource including youth, men and women and great land, plenty of water and agricultural soil available.
Parish Priest of Christ the King Cathedral Tom Poru Martin said the women association of the Catholic Church is different from the other women associations especially that of the government.
Catholic women association is founded only on love, faith and unity, he explained.
The speakers made their remarks on Saturday during the distribution of family utensils to the chapels that were donated to the catholic women association in Yei.
