UN World Food Program or WFP and the Food and Agriculture Organization or FAO are planning to distribute food and non-food items to 25 thousand households in South Sudan.
The items to be distributed include sorghum, oil, motorbikes, seeds, hoes, solar panels, buckets and watering canes.
FAO Head of the Program Felix Dzvurumi, said the project is to support the vulnerable communities in Juba, Nimule, Wau and Aweil and is expected to end in November.
He expressed concerns for partners to continue supporting vulnerable households in South Sudan.
WFP Deputy Head of Program Ernesto Gonzalez said they and USAID will continue providing services to vulnerable communities.
He explained that his organization aims to support over 120,000 households in Juba.
The officials spoke to the press during the launch of the project on Thursday in Juba.
