United Nation Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS, vow to continue collaborating with state government to promote peace and reconciliation in Eastern Equatoria.
Acting head of UNMISS field office Anthony Napwa assured governor Louis Lobong Lojore on Monday about their commitment to work with the government to promote peace in the region.
Napwa emphasized protection of civilian population as the main mandate of the UN mission in South Sudan.
He said the peace keepers are engaged in development and resolving other issues for peaceful co-existence among citizens.
‘We are currently engaged in development, problem solving, and our mandate of protection of civilians. We are working on different issues, as laid down procedure and plan of actions to be implemented in Eastern Equatoria State’, the official comments.
The acting head of field office made the statement at state secretariat in Torit.
