The Union of Students of Rumbek University of Science and Technology on Saturday distributed facemasks and washing soaps to police and Rumbek Market.
Union team leader Abraham Makoi said the distribution was to increase effectiveness of the preventive measures against coronavirus in Rumbek, Good News Radio reported.
Rebecca Ajak Cok, team secretary, appreciated the work of students through support from Rumbek Community in the USA.
Mary Nyankuer, one of the recipients of the distributed items, thanked the team for their efforts in combating covid-19 in the state.
