The founder of the Catholic Faith in Tira Community of Heiban County, Nuba Mountains, calls on Nuba tribes to stop stealing and looting Arabs’ cows.

Fr Paul Chalu Urende call followed continuous looting of Arabs’ cows despite of the cessation of hostilities and signing of peaceful co-existence by warring parties in January 2020.

Fr Chalu says people have refused the word of God and resorted to worldly things that will not lead to lasting peace in the Sudan.

He adds that some soldiers in the army are involved in the theft and looting of people’s property.

Reverend Chalu calls on members of the army not to misuse their guns by taking civilians’ belongings, but to adhere to the objectives of the revolution.

He advises Christians to go to the Church everyday to pray because prayer is a powerful tool to overcome the devil.

Reverend Chalu asks youth to refrain from false pride because it leads to failure and damage of one’s good reputation.

He adds that the Catholic Church is currently experiencing numerous challenges due to lack of faith from young generations in different Nuba communities.

Reverend Chalu made his remarks on Sunday during his historical visit to Sarbule Chapel of Gidel Parish in the Nuba Mountains.
