NNGO conducts roundtable discussion on early pregnancy

Inclusive Education and Development Initiative organization in partnership with the state Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Welfare conducts a roundtable discussion on early pregnancy and forced marriage in Wau.
 
The organization’s Executive Director Joseph Ayo says the roundtable discussion aims at finding recommendations on how best community can keep children safe from early pregnancy and force marriages.
 
He adds early pregnancy and forced marriage are the main cause of girls’ dropout of schools in the state.
 
Meanwhile Director General in the state Ministry of Gender, Child and social welfare, Ann Daniel Ali says the discussion brought together participants from different fields to find a way forward.
 
Some of the participants appreciate the organization for giving them a platform to discuss problems facing the communities.
 
The roundtable discussions brought together chiefs, women, social workers and youth in Wau.
