A two day dialogue on peace building and reconciliation organized by Whitaker peace and development initiative has concluded in Yei River County of Central Equatoria State.
The dialogue aims at strengthening peace building and reconciliation in Yei and South Sudan at large.
Speaking during closure the organization’s program manager Bush Buse expresses his happiness to the participants for identifying issues affecting the communities and the country.
He promised to pass the recommendations to his senior management team and UNESCO.
The program manager believes that the lessons learnt will set an example to other areas across the country.
They identified issues of lack of capacity building for journalist, and under representation of youth and women at government levels.
The dialogue brought together government officials, military, national security, representative of police, women, youth, media, and civil society organization.
