The University of Juba announced last week that it was switching to electronic and distance learning due to the coronavirus. The decision brought mixed reactions from students.
The University’s Vice Counsellor, John Akec earlier said the initiative of distance learning came because the government has not yet announced resumption of lectures.
One of the students told Bakhita Radio that the new arrangement would improve the skills of students.
But some students argue that the initiative is unfavourable to some learners because of difficulties in accessing internet and lack of computers.
Those were voices of students from the University of Juba reacting to the introduction of electronic and distance learning.
Schools and religious institutions across the country remain closed as a preventive measure against the corona virus.
