Parents’ Teachers Association or PTA in Lakes State is calling on the governments to lift coronavirus lockdown and reopen schools for children to learn.

The call came in a panel discussion of online learning program, organized by DARD.

Parents’ representative James Marial appeals to the government to re-open schools to keep students away from inter-communal violence in the state.

Meanwhile teacher’s representative Makur Chol Majok says the online learning is not effective due to lack of internet and radios in remote areas.

The speakers spoke to Good News Radio in Rumbek on Monday.
