Community Empowerment for Rehabilitation Development Organization or CEFoRD is conducting a dialogue and peace building for youth in Yei Rivet County of Central Equatoria State
The dialogue brought together 25 young people from the SPLM Youth League, Youth Union, scouts and Boda-boda groups.
Augustine Michael, head of CEFoRD office in Yei told Radio Easter that the training is to shape youth in governance, leadership and peace building.
The dialogue is also to create space for youth in order to realize their potentials and strategize and prepare themselves for bigger leadership, he said.
The activist said they are preparing the young people to know that they are the front runners of becoming leaders of today not tomorrow.
He explained that the forum is created for young people to aware them of working towards becoming leaders now.
The dialogue will also help identify challenges faced by the youth and provide solutions to address them together, said Michael.
He encouraged young people not to relax and watch the leaders without their involvement, but that they should prepare to hold government positions in the recently formed state governments to exercise their potentials.
The CEFoRD Yei leader was speaking to Radio Easter on Friday in Yei.
