The governor of Eastern Equatoria State Louis Lobong Lojore called on citizens to unite themselves for peace to prevail in the state.
Speaking at Torit freedom square on Thursday, he told citizens and leaders to cooperate and work together for a lasting peace in the state.
Governor Lobong apologized to the population for any wrong he might have committed during his previous tenure in office,
He admitted that reconciliation and forgiveness can only be achieved through dialogue.
Citizen Oromo David Tuduha, earlier appealed to the governor to give equal services to the people and not to discriminate citizens.
Another national, Elizabeth Halima encouraged fellow citizens to put aside tribalism and work together as children of one family.
