Civil society activist in Yei demands for women representation in governance

Representative of Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO in Yei is demanding the presidency to consider women representation in the transitional government of national unity.
 
Daniel Friday Martin expresses happiness to the SPLA-IO for appointing female governor for Western Bahr El Ghazal State.
 
He mentions women constitute about 50 to 60 percent of South Sudan population.
 
Daniel stresses it is not too late for the president to revert the decision of appointing governors.
 
CEPO’s representative cites at least two more women should be appointed as governors in the transitional government.
 
Daniel Friday appeals to the governor of Central Equatoria to consider appointing o two to three female commissioners in order to move the state forward.
