CEPO engages young people in productive work in Wau

Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO launches a project targeting youth in Wau under the theme: ‘Youth action for reduced violence and enhanced social cohesion’.
 
CEPO’s regional coordinator for greater Bahr El Ghazel Stephen Robo Musa says the project targets young people involved in risky behaviours locally known as naggers.
 
He adds the project aims at transforming their negative behaviour of violence.
 
Robo stresses they will train these young people on economic development like computer skills and other practical knowledge to better their lives.
 
Director General in the ministry of information youth, culture and sport David John Jongo mentions that many youth are facing challenges forcing them to engage in violent activities.
 
He calls on well wishers to join hands with national organization in order to help this young people.
 
The speakers made the remarks to Voice of Hope radio on Wednesday in Wau.
